The year 2025 is full of exciting developments for STM Group. Our company exports and installs more than 80% of its canning machines, as well as complete lines, worldwide. Nevertheless, more and more of our customers are also becoming manufacturers from our home market. Today we would like to present one such realisation for the Bartex Bartol company.
The company is 100% Polish and has been run for three generations by the family of Mr. and Mrs. Bartol, and took its first steps on the alcohol market in 1990. Over the last 35 years, Bartex Bartol has become one of the largest producers and importers of spirits in Poland – from wines and ciders to spirits. Production goes to more than 30 countries around the world. High quality, flexible production and a responsible approach to business are the pillars on which Bartex builds its position and credibility.
Following the sustainable packaging trend, Bartex Bartol decided to purchase a new STM Group canning line dedicated to the packaging of beverages in aluminium cans. With several successfully completed applications for this customer in our portfolio of references – including a Central Palletising System and a Blowing Machine for the production of PET bottles – we were once again trusted and tasked with building a complete filling line with a capacity of 10000 CPH.
The new canning line includes:
Automatic depalletisation,
Can rinser,
STM ARROW CAN 24/4 canning monobloc,
Plate conveyors,
X-ray fill level inspector,
Air knives,
Labelling system and collection tables.
In the near future, the STM Group line will additionally be equipped with a packaging machine and will be integrated into an already functioning central palletising system. The whole creates a modern, flexible and fully scalable solution, adapted to the needs of a dynamically developing market.
The beverage market is very demanding – producers are expected not only to deliver excellent product quality, but also to be technologically flexible and to respond quickly to changes in consumer preferences and regulations. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in interest in filling lines designed for filling into aluminium cans. This trend is not only due to their favourable price/quality ratio and availability, but above all to their ecological approach.
Aluminium cans are one of the most desirable packages today – they are lightweight, durable, 100% recyclable and ideally suited to a closed loop economy. In addition, the introduction of a deposit system in Poland, which will cover aluminium, PET plastic and returnable glass packaging, aims to increase recycling rates and reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. Although the final shape of the law and its regulations are still being clarified, we are seeing a clear decline in new investments in plastic packaging. Instead, interest in cans is growing rapidly – both on the part of consumers and producers.
For the filling machine industry, this means the need to adapt quickly to the new realities. STM Group has been consistently developing its portfolio of aluminium can lines for years – offering complete, modular solutions for different production scales. Our systems are not only reliable, but also environmentally friendly – which fits perfectly with the needs of companies such as Bartex Bartol.
